Deep Sea Creepers!

I’m taking a break from some drafting to post something of UTMOST IMPORTANCE. Something that couldn’t wait! Something that will shake you to your very core!

What is is, you ask?

THIS GUY.

This is an anglerfish. If it’s not THE creepiest thing on the planet, it’s at least in the top ten. Because they’re so rare, we usually¬†only see these things in illustrations like the one above, or in grainy pictures of the already-deceased critter. Poor dear.

UNTIL NOW!

Scientists at the Monteray Bay Aquarium Research Institute recently filmed an anglerfish (alive!) in the water. We’re pretty sure it’s the first time this species has ever been recorded, so this is a VERY BIG DEAL. It’s cool. It’s creepy. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted in a deep sea animal.

Check out the video to find out why this thing is also called THE BLACK SEADEVIL.
