If you follow me here or on Twitter, you know how much a fan I am of connecting with readers and educators. You all do so much, and it’s important to me to create things that are meaningful to you as readers, but also helpful in an educator setting. I love getting kids excited about science, writing, and creativity.
To that end, I decided to do something a little different. I’m always looking for ways to combine the topics I cover online in a way that is beautiful, easy to share, and most importantly, fun and inspiring for young creatives.
So, I’m happy to share the first issue of “The Curious Creative” magazine! This is a classroom-friendly magazine that features science (particularly a ‘Creature of the Month”!), author/illustrator interviews, writing tips, along with fun articles on creativity and even crafts you can make yourself. There are also behind-the-scenes book extras, and spotlights on recent books I’ve loved.
If you’d like to subscribe, email ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ with the subject line “SUBSCRIBE.”
You can check out some of the pages from the June issue below! I hope you love it! (And a huge thank you to Julia Denos, book creator extraordinaire, for being my first interview guinea pig!)
Happy creating, all!
